What is Usability?

Simply put, this is the measurement of how easily a visitor is able to navigate on your web site and locate the specific content which interests them.

Designing navigation in a concise manner is critical.  In the world of web design there is a 3-click rule which states "A visitor should never have to make more than 3 clicks to get to the content they desire."  When the three-click rule is not maintained, often visitors get frustrated and leave.

Another helpful component for visitors, is leaving breadcrumbs.  Breadcrumbs show the visitor which section and category they are in no matter what page on your site is being viewed.  This reassurance seems redundant, but can be helpful on sites which contain a lot of content.
